Our policies outline what is expected of our students and families as well as us, as the teachers!

♬ Tuition is due on a monthly basis, and must be paid at the first lesson of the month. Payment by cash or check (made payable to Valotta Studios) is preferred. Credit cards are also accepted with a $2 convenience fee.

♬ When making your payment, please observe the number of lessons you will be taking during that month. *If tuition is not received by the second lesson of the month, your teacher will be unable to teach your child. This lesson will still need to be paid for, and lessons will resume when monthly payment has been made.

♬ Teachers are expected to create lessons plans and assign weekly homework specific for the student’s needs. The student is expected to complete their weekly assigned homework.

♬ Students are expected to show up with all of their materials and instruments needed for that lesson (with the exception of the piano). All students are to have access to an instrument at home to practice.

♬ If at any time you decide to discontinue lessons, you must finish any remaining lessons that you have paid for.

♬ Students are expected to attend their regularly scheduled lessons. Lessons will begin and end promptly on the part of the student and the teacher. If you are late for a lesson, you will forfeit any time lost.

♬ Cancellations:  If a student must miss a lesson, at least 24 hours notice must be given to your teacher or our office staff. If a lesson is canceled with less than 24 hours notice, the lesson is forfeited and a make-up cannot be given. Forgetting to attend a scheduled lesson is not considered an excused absence. If a teacher must cancel a lesson, a make-up lesson will be given. If two consecutive lessons are missed without any notification, you may be removed from our lesson schedule.

♬ Make-up  Lessons  must be scheduled within 30 days of an excused missed lesson.  Your teacher will contact you with available dates and times when the make-up can take place. If the lesson is not made up within that time, the   lesson will be forfeited. Unused make-up lessons CANNOT be credited to the next month’s tuition.

Emergency Closures

♬ Valotta Studios generally follows Downingtown Area School District’s emergency weather closings. In the event of a studio closure, you will also be contacted directly by our office staff by 12:00 pm that day.

♬ If your lesson is canceled due to weather, you will receive a make-up lesson. Your teacher will email you with their available dates and times when the make-up can take place. If the lesson is not made up within 30 days from the date of the studio closure, the lesson will be forfeited.

*Valotta Studios reserves the right to dismiss a student for inappropriate behavior and/or non-compliance with any of the above policies *
