with Facilitated Music Making

More than two years into the COVID-19 pandemic, all of our lives have been greatly affected in so many ways. This is an informal discussion and music-based support group where adults can come and discuss personal stories, share group music experiences, and find common ground with others in the community.

We are thrilled to offer our Process The Pandemic group music series for seven weeks starting on Monday, July 25th from 7:00 PM – 8:15 PM. The group music experiences will be percussion based and involve drumming, singing, improvisation, song writing and grounding meditations.

Group music making encourages self-expression, aids in emotional expression, increases sense of community and reduces stress. The act of drumming in a group can also create ”rhythmic entrainment”. This rhythmic entrainment is known to assist people with becoming more in tune with their inner self as well as their surroundings. This allows for inner peace, focus, and grounding.
