SONGWRITERS WORKSHOP

Get ready for a one-of-a-kind musical experience this summer – Songwriters Workshop, only at Valotta Studios! Created and led by Lukas Kochansky, a former Valotta student and multi-instrumentalist who is currently studying music performance and songwriting at Berkelee College of Music, this group class is the perfect way to help young musicians put their words and feelings to music. Over the course of six weeks, students will immerse themselves in the fundamentals of songwriting, from rhyming and rhythm to structure and song. They will have the support of both Lulas and their fellow songwriters as they craft their final piece (or pieces) to perform onstage at the last class!

This amazing program will meet on Thursdays from 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM and is open to 5th – 10th grade students with any level of musical experience. Classes are scheduled for each Thursday (except August 13th) from July 9th all the way up to our concert on August 20th. Tuition for this 6-week class is $200 and is due by the first rehearsal.
