EMILY ALBERICI, MT-BC – ADAPTIVE LESSONS, PIANO, MUSIC THERAPY, & VOICE

Emily is a board certified music therapist and certified K-12 music educator. Emily graduated from West Chester University in 2015 with her undergraduate degree in Music Education and a Voice concentration. While there, Emily learned and performed as a member of the Incomparable Golden Rams Marching Band, University Dance Company classes, and Concert Choir. Emily’s main instruments are voice and piano, having studied under Dr. Bullock and Dr. Klinefelter, respectively, at WCU.

Pursuing her passion, Emily then graduated from Immaculata University in August 2020 with her Masters in Music Therapy. While attending WCU as a graduate student, Emily had the pleasure to work with a variety of different populations, including children with autism, children and adolescents in a medical hospital setting, adults with various intellectual disabilities, and adults with substance use disorders. During her internship, Emily completed over 1000 clinical hours at Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children, providing music therapy services to children in the oncology as well as cardiac units.

As an educator, Emily loves to incorporate technique, music theory, reading, ear training, and improvisation into each lesson. Learning music should be a fun experience for the student as well as instructor, while developing a musical ear and reading skills to apply throughout a student’s music education. As a therapist, Emily is thrilled to be assisting Katy with building a practice in conjunction with Valotta Studios! Outside of music, Emily enjoys walking in nature, listening and playing music, and roller skating. She is very much looking forward to working with and getting to know families through Valotta Studios!
