Kiernan Bauman is in his fourth year of study at West Chester University of Pennsylvania, pursuing a double Bachelor of Music in education and composition, as well as a minor in Japanese. Kiernan studies saxophone with Jonathan Ragonese in a variety of styles and settings, including classical and improvised performance, as well as compositional techniques. In his time at West Chester University, he has performed in a variety of ensembles, including marching, choral, concert, jazz/combo, and Rennaissance styles, and enjoys music of all styles and periods. In addition to studying musical performance techniques, Kiernan studies composition and arranging, writing music in a variety of styles from symphonic band to jazz ensemble. In his free time, Kiernan enjoys cooking, watching movies, and studying Japanese. He is thrilled to be working with so many amazing students at Valotta Studios!
