Lia Criscuolo is currently pursuing her Masters Degree at West Chester University. In 2019, she completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education and Cello Performance, as well as a Minor in Music History. She has studied with several accomplished cellists, including Dr. Ovidiu Marinescu, Janifer Dixon, Peter Brye, and Jesus Morales. Lia has studied piano since 6th grade and received two semesters of comprehensive piano lessons from some of WCU’s finest piano instructors. Lia also spent some time teaching elementary orchestra in the Wilson School District, where she taught violin, viola, cello, and bass to a variety of learners. Lia had many opportunities to work as an ensemble player and as a soloist in groups including the West Chester University Symphony Orchestra and Chamber Orchestra, Berks Sinfonietta, and the Delaware County Symphony. In addition, she performs for weddings and other special events with local string quartets. Lia is very enthusiastic when she teaches, and she enjoys discovering new ways to make the lessons fun, engaging, and memorable.

My son really enjoys the cello lessons with Miss Lia. She is always patient, on time and helpful when comes to questions. Especially during this difficult time, although we can only have virtual lessons, he still likes it since Miss Lia still provides same quality lessons and offers the best advice and reminders for my son to improve his playing skills. We really appreciate everything!
