Nadine Silverman is a graduate of the West Chester University Wells School of Music. She holds a bachelor’s degree in music theory and composition and minors in music history and French. Through her studies as a composer and performer at WCU, she participated in numerous performing ensembles and was the principal clarinetist of the WCU Symphony Orchestra for two years. She has studied with many prolific clarinetists such as Dr. Karen Dannessa (West Chester University), Dr. Caroline Hartig (Ohio State University), and Mr. Charles Salinger (Delaware Symphony and Philadelphia Ballet Orchestra). She has performed at Carnegie Hall in New York and Verizon Hall in Philadelphia and has played internationally in Germany, France, Austria, Italy, and China. Nadine loves composing and performing chamber music, and she has organized several concerts for new student compositions. She has been playing the clarinet since she was five years old and is extremely passionate about all kinds of music and art—a passion she is excited to share with the students at Valotta Studios!
